The Beanstalk Garden Companion ("the app") is operated by John Terry, an individual seller ("we", "us"). When you use the app or buy a membership, your agreement is with John Terry. By continuing to use the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure and give accurate information. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time from Account settings.
Garden information is guidance, not a guarantee
Planting dates, frost dates, weather, companion suggestions, plant counts and harvest estimates are general guidance. Local conditions vary, and results are never guaranteed. Always check the official forecast before protecting plants from frost.
Foraging, mushrooms and plant safety
Never eat a wild plant or mushroom unless an expert has positively identified it. Some plants and flowers in the app are toxic to people or pets. You use foraging and edibility information at your own risk.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the app unlawfully, for fraud or spam, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property.
- Don't misuse, disrupt, probe, scrape or try to break into the app or other accounts, or upload malware.
- Don't copy the app's content for resale.
- Podcast episodes belong to The Beanstalk and are provided through Acast.
Ownership
John Terry owns the app, its software, guides, design and The Beanstalk branding. You may use the app for personal gardening only.
Memberships and payments
Memberships cost $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year and include a 7-day free trial. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, renewals and cancellations are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Cancelled memberships stay active until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
Service availability
We work to keep the app running, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, non-payment, or security or fraud risks.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for crop losses, injuries or damages arising from use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. See our Privacy Policy.
