Morning Glory

Grow morning glory in well-drained, moderately fertile soil with a pH of 6.0-7.5. Too much nitrogen reduces flowering; provide a sturdy support and remove seedpods to limit unwanted seedlings.

- Water seedlings regularly, then water established vines during extended dry spells.
- Avoid routine fertilizer in fertile beds and remove developing seedpods before they mature.
- Check leaf undersides for spider mites during hot, dry weather and rinse foliage when needed.
- Keep seeds away from children and pets because morning glory seeds are toxic if swallowed.
