Carrot
Cilantro

Cilantro does best in cool weather and well-drained soil at pH 6.0-7.0 with a modest compost addition. Light feeding supports leaf growth, but extra fertilizer will not prevent heat-triggered bolting, so repeated sowings are more useful.
- Sun
- Full sun to part shade
- Water
- Even moisture; about 1 in/week including rain
- Spacing
- 6 in
- First harvest
- 30โ50 days
Tips
- Sow seeds 1/4-1/2 inch deep and thin to 4-6 inches apart, repeating small sowings every 2-3 weeks in cool weather.
- Keep soil evenly moist during germination and water at the base once plants are established.
- Use afternoon shade in warm weather and avoid heavy nitrogen applications.
- Check for aphids and remove badly diseased foliage rather than wetting leaves repeatedly.
- Snip outer leaves while leaving the center growing, or let seed heads brown for a coriander harvest.
